Headlights tinted with Lamin-x film
This page also features details and photos on removing the headlights and splitting off the lenses so that I could fit LED strips into them. Unfortunately the LED strips stopped working after a matter of weeks so I wouldn't recommend them. To be honest I wouldn't have gone to this much effort if I'd realised how short-lived they proved to be. I have left the info on this page for reference.
The headlight tint film was bought from www.Lamin-X.co.uk, two 12"x12" sheets were needed and came packaged in a tube along with a spatula to smooth out the vinyl and a sharp craft knife to trim the excess from around the edges. Total cost inc. P&P was £26.36 with a discount code I found through a google search.
The LED strips were bought from an eBay seller called lightspeed_123 for £11.98 inc. P&P.

Open the bonnet and behind each grill indicator is a light grey plug...
Take a flat bladed screwdriver and apply pressure to the flexible plastic centre strip on the light grey plug.
Disconnected plug...
Now the grill can be removed.
Remove the black plastic poppers that hold the grill onto the tan bar...
Look over the leading edge of the engine bay you will find this black plastic clip, this needs to be levered away from the edge of the car whilst pulling the grill towards you.
The top edge of the grill will pop out.
Along the bottom of the grill there are a series of 6 tabs which need to be pulled upwards whilst you pull the grill out.
This is the car with the grill removed, you can see the holes where the grill tabs fit along the top edge of the bumper.
Now the headlights can be removed.
So to summarise...
